An exquisite late 19th-century French commode crafted in the Grand Louis XV style and sourced directly from Provence, France. Made from rich kingwood, this elegant piece features a rounded top with intricate marquetry inlay, composed of rosewood, walnut, and maple with exceptional detail. It is crowned with a striking forest green Italian marble top.The wood has developed a naturally aged, warm patina that enhances its timeless character. Structurally revised for stability, the commode offers three spacious drawers, each constructed with large dovetail joints and fitted with the original brass pulls. Its serpentine front and sides create a graceful silhouette, while hand-carved cabriole legs adorned with brass ormolu accents reflect the refined opulence of the Louis XV era.
