Danish Gothic Chest, Decorated Floral and Church style
About the Item
A small yet striking Gothic-inspired oak chest with iron hinges, featuring exquisite floral relief carvings on the front and sides. Influenced by Danish folk art and church aesthetics, it commands attention despite its compact size.
Given as a bridal gift in 1977, though its production date is unknown. The chest is in excellent condition—fully functional with a working lock and sturdy top, also suitable for seating. Made of thick oak with rich, characterful grain, all elements remain original.
