This magnificent married pair of commodes is shipped as professionally photographed and described in the listing narrative: Meticulously professionally restored and completely installation ready. Though from different McGuire series, both chests are of the same overall measurements. The pieces have undergone restoration together to ensure that they share a matching finish. Staggering restored examples from two distinct and difficult to find case series by McGuire, both circa 1970. Expertly crafted oak case construction with side mounted rattan legs detailed in the iconic firm rawhide. Fabulous solid brass hardware mark the drawers. Exquisite pieces designed to create an interesting, dramatic and highly memorable space. The unmistakable look of serious old money. Excellent Restored Condition. The chests have been professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. The oak projects a rich warmth with wonderful grain movement. Lacquer finish with exceptional depth and sheen. The solid brass hardware has been professionally polished and displays beautiful patina. All rawhide and cane accents are intact and complete. Retains the Maker mark.
