French Louis XVI Commode with Original Marble Top New Ebonized Mahogany Finish
About the Item
French Louis XVI Commode with its Original Marble Top. Our Old Plank Restoration Department removed the old tired lacquer, without the use of any harsh chemicals and applied an old school Ebonized finish. During the restoration process the drawers were restored and functioned as they were intended. The marble top shows no signs of prior repairs, however there are small chips on the edges. All of the Brass hardware was cleaned and checked, before being re-installed. This was a very well-made French Commode and you can see how thick the drawers are and the quality of the dove-tail construction.
