French Louis XVI Jansen Style Brass-Mounted Mahogany Commode
About the Item
A lovely three-drawer commode made of light and dark stained mahogany with brass mounts in the style of Maison Jansen's early 20th century work. Drawers feature brass trim, key escutcheons and Classic drop handles with hexagonal backplates. A white marble-top with pierced brass gallery and chamfered, reeded corners terminating in in tapered legs with brass sabot. Excellent style and quality. Original marble top has a crack but is totally intact.
