Georgian Regency Period Bow Fronted Chest with Reeded Detail, English circa 1825

About the Item

This is a fine Regency, late Georgian period, chest of drawers, with many quality features. The chest is bow fronted with inset panelled sides, all made of a hardwood, possibly red walnut. The sides of the front are vertically reeded with further reeding to the edge of the top, which is a common feature of the English Regency period. The chest sits on four small turned and horizontally reeded stile feet. It has four graduated, cock-beeded, drawers having the original hardwood knob handles. This chest has a very good color and patination. We date this chest to the late Georgian, Regency period, circa 1825.
