Important Antique Mahogany Block Front Chest of Drawers

About the Item

An important and rare American Historical Block Front Chest. In mahogany with pine drawers. Provenance: Roy Thompson. Labeled Boston or Charleston, in a rare size 32". With four long drawers, the top one slightly shorter, all with fine bat wing bales and escutcheons (lacking a key). Partly restored on the left and right of the base, repaired crack on the top right, missing locks and the back of the top with replaced section. Dimensions: L. 32", Depth 19 3/4", H. 30 1/4" Condition: Please see all detail photos. Please see photo of detail card inside drawer. There are scratches, cracked piece to top (Shown in photos), losses to base, top drawer lock missing, lacking key, faded water marks and marks and some deeper scratches on the top, in addition to the condition mentioned above with the Chest presenting very well.
