About the Item

This small drawer is a valuable antique from the Meiji period of Japan. (1868-1912) It is made of high-quality "Kiri wood"(paulownia wood) and is coated with a deep black paint, accentuating its classical beauty. The handle of the drawer is a circular iron ring, a design that evokes the feeling of the era. Despite its compact size, the lightness and strength of the paulownia wood are notable features, making it ideal for storing small items. This drawer, which brings a subtle charm to any interior, also carries the wabi-sabi spirit, appreciating the beauty in simplicity and imperfection." Cleaned and disinfected with non-toxic solution.
