About the Item
This is a drawer storage made in the Meiji period (1860s-1900s), using abundant Japanese zelkova wood.
The beautiful grain of the zelkova wood still stands out even after the passage of time, giving it a presence that leaves a lasting impression at first glance.
The combination with the rugged iron fittings is exquisite, and the design has both strength and dignity.

The small door on the lower right was originally opened and closed with a key, but the key has now been lost and the door can be easily opened and closed by hand.
