About the Item

A 1950's neoclassical style dresser made by Widdicomb Co of Grand Rapids, designed by Ralph H. Widdicombe. Five dovetailed drawers open with round pressed brass handles, and are decorated with paneled fronts. Corners are decorated with carved acanthus panels above fluted columns. Stands on round tapered legs finished with arrow feet. Manufacturers label can be seen inside the top drawer. Comes with purchase receipt from Edwards Antiques of Pittsboro, NC dated 1995.
