Late 19th C English Walnut Dresser Base with Original Hardware

About the Item

Late 19th C English Walnut Dresser Base with Original Hardware Found in England, this large walnut dresser base dates from 1880s. Originally, the base would have had another piece that sat on top of the base, but the base alone works as a great stand alone. Base has carved feet and a curvy, scalloped apron. Stack of four drawers in the center is flanked on each side by a top drawer and double faced hinged cabinet. Hinged cabinet doors have functional locks - there is one key included. Drawers feature original brass hardware. Unknown maker. Overall very good antique condition with honest, visible age-related wear and patina to surfaces. Some drawer bottoms show some separation and remnants of former glued felt liner. This can be remedied with application of new drawer liners. Structurally very sound and sturdy.
