Midcentury CherryWood Italian Dresser / Commode and Chest of Drawers, 1950

About the Item

Italian chest of drawers, mid-20th century. Peculiar shape, original and avant-garde for that period. A very simple design, but by far a fine and elegant chest of drawers. Entirely veneered in cherry wood, with three beautiful drawers. The top is slightly recessed inside, with a shaped frame that runs all around the perimeter of the top. Its shape resembles an inverted pyramid trunk. The opening of the three drawers is allowed by a brass key, placed in the center of the same. Finally, the wooden leg, polished in black lacquer, is flat and is positioned mirrored with respect to the angle of the side of the body of the chest of drawers. Note the beautiful color and patina of the cherry wood, in contrast with the black leg. Wear consistent with age and use. Each item that the HannauRoma warehouse offers is checked by our team of craftsmen. We guarantee a very high quality standard, ask our design specialists for detailed information.
