About the Item

An elegant and small scale pair of French 19th century Transitional st. tulipwood, charmwood, ormolu and Brèche d'Alep marble chiffonier cabinets. Each five drawer cabinet is raised by fine cabriole legs with foliate ormolu sabots. At the center are five drawers with richly chased tied ribbon and foliate ormolu keyhole escutcheons set on a finely inlaid floral kingwood marquetry set on a tulip wood background and framed within a charmwood fillet. At each corner are fine foliate ormolu mounts while each side displays beautiful quarter veneered designs. Above are the original Brèche d'Alep marble tops with fine cut corners.
