About the Item

Frattini graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1953. He opened his professional studio in Milan, after working in the studio of his teacher and mentor Gio Ponti. His collaboration with Cesare Cassina for his eponymous company began in 1954, followed by collaborations with many other industrialists, such as Bernini, Arteluce, Acerbis, Fantoni, Artemide, Luci, Knoll, Lema and others. He was a board member of the Milan Triennale. A great connoisseur of handcrafted wood, he forged a long and fruitful professional partnership with the master craftsman Pierluigi Ghianda. Here we have the wonderful wooden cabinet mod. 503, designed in 1957 by Gianfranco Frattini and produced by Bernini. In very good condition, fully original and ready to be shipped. Published in: Domus 389, April 1962, p. 53; G. Gramigna, Repertorio 1950-1980, Mondadori, 1985, p. 113
