About the Item

Atocha design references midcentury album storage and Hi-Fi style, but is updated for the needs of the 21st century music lover. The Long Low Record Cabinet features four soft-closing drawers for albums and three open, rear-vented shelves for components. The component area is vented to keep tubes and components cool, and also makes cord access easy. Pop your turntable or television on top, and easily connect to your audio components through the back. The interior component areas are 19 1/2" wide by 19 7/8" deep, height is 8". Components will need to be smaller than these dims to fit inside, however it is possible to customize. The beauty of our furniture is the access you finally have to your music collection. The drawers allow for every record sorted upright and face-forward in soft-touch gliding drawers, so you can flip through albums quickly and easily while, most importantly, being able to look at the cover art. The cabinet frees you from being stuck on the first 10 records at the front of the your stack - you can rediscover those forgotten albums that were hard to reach in the back and hadn't been played in forever. The featured piece uses Santos Palisander hardwood veneer, a sustainable species visually similar to rosewood. As shown, the piece features four drawers for LPs, each drawer holding at least 95 LPs, with custom solid brass drawer pulls with a vintage brass finish. Featured credenza holds just under 400 LPs. Our freestanding furniture is handcrafted by a master cabinetmaker in the U.S.A. using high-quality sustainable materials and hardware. Significant engineering has gone into the design of the furniture to accommodate the weight of a vinyl collection. To ensure absolute safety, we recommend that you open only one drawer at a time. Each piece is made to order in New York.
