Late 19th Century French Gothic Style Hand Carved Walnut Cabinet or Credenza

About the Item

This late nineteenth century French Gothic style cabinet is constructed of solid walnut and features hand carved detailing of Gothic motifs on all of its forward facing panels, doors, and drawer. The single drawer of dovetail construction rests above the two doors of the central cabinet. The drawer is fitted with a bronze drawer pull detailed with scrolling leaves. Above the counter is a paneled back with a narrow shelf at the top. At the base of the piece is a larger lower shelf for additional display space. Resting on finial feet, this cabinet is the quintessential Gothic addition for any collector, circa 1880. Height to cabinet surface is 43 inches. Includes one key.
