About the Item
Skovby furniture is renowned for its high quality. Recently, it has gained more recognition for its design and style, emerging from the shadows of top Danish mid-century modern designers. The pieces feature matching, beautifully grained rosewood veneer, and offer ample storage space.
The top of this particular piece has some sun-faded patches, as shown in the photos. We chose to leave these untouched, as they are part of the item's history and add to its character. The overall condition is excellent, and we believe refinishing the surface would detract from its charm. However, it has been polished with rosewood balsam to enhance its durability without altering its appearance.
With its clean, minimalist lines and indented grooves for easy access to the doors, this stunning high-end Danish sideboard boasts gorgeous grain patterns. The left cupboard door opens to reveal six felt-lined tray drawers. The center section features a large double cupboard with two adjustable and removable shelves. The right cupboard contains two height-adjustable shelves. This stylish piece of Scandinavian cabinetry fits well in homes with Art Deco, Bauhaus, or modern furniture, and would be perfect for a dining room or hallway. Additionally, it would make an ideal stand for a record player and vinyl collection.
Skovby was founded in 1933 by cabinetmaker Thorvald Rasmussen, continuing a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship.
There are no chips or dangerous scratches; all damages will be shown in the photos. Though it is a vintage piece, it is in amazing condition.
