Art Deco freestanding vintage commodes, chest or desk from oak, walnut and brass attributed to Josef Frank circa 1927 Vienna. An extraordinary chest, commodes or desk attributed to Josef Frank circa 1927 Vienna from oak and walnut inlays with maples at the top. With four ( 4 ) beautiful brass handles, very similar handles by Josef Frank for Theodor Kalmar Werkstätten, are pictured at the Museum for Applied Art Vienna. This stunning chest shows three ( 3 ) drawers, one drawer is lockable and shows a key and few compartments, while one storage compartment features a flap door. Four ( 4 ) rectangular feet with details make this chest graceful and elegant. Very beautiful sights from each angles allow to install this lovely furniture freestanding in your room. An absolutely rare and extraordinary furniture - cleaned and shellac polished by hand. We love this chest in particular for its practical style with a cosy twist in wonderful organic warm color tones, perfect for a mix of treasures from different periods. Josef Frank ( 1885 - 1967 ) one of the most sought Austrian born designer and architect loved to use design influences from allover the world, especially flows from English and Asia, and represented his own concept from interior and architecture. very good condition - ready to live Approximate. measures: Width 65.8 cm Depth 43.8 cm Height 69.5 cm.
