About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this very fine fully, Antique circa 1880, Burr Walnut twin pedestal partner desk with hand dyed brown leather top.
What a desk….. these cushion curved drawer desks almost never come up for sale, they are based on early Regency pieces which screamed English fine furniture. This desk has the original leather top and handles, it is one of the best looking desks I’ve had in stock for some time. The desk leather is oval which is very rare, it adds a sense of occasion to the top! The handles are actually earlier than the desk, they are polished brass and Georgian circa 1800
It’s been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, it will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect
