French Flat Desk Louis Philippe In Burl Walnut Late 19th

French flat desk in walnut bramble late 19th. This writing table includes a top, a formwork consisting of two rows of two drawers. The length of these corresponds to the depth of the furniture. The four drawers are mounted dovetail ensuring perfect strength. They can be opened daily and contain many sometimes heavy objects. They slide perfectly. The drawers are opened using buttons for two of them and keys for the other two. The central part has no drawer to let the legs pass. The furniture rests on four legs called «chapelet». They consist of carved and stacked wooden discs. To facilitate writing, a desk protector covers it. This is a green leather in very good condition. It covers an important surface of the tray.
