Save for a small veneer repair this exquisite dresser is in original, vintage condition making it the perfect addition to any modern home. Constructed from a mix of solid and veneered teak and a honey birch interior this extraordinary piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically pleasing.
Cleverly designed to function as both a dresser, vanity and writing desk this unique case piece is ideal for those limited on space but unwilling to compromise on style and functionality. The desktop opens outward exposing a large mirror perfect for makeup application as well as numerous compartments for easy, organized storage. The top drawer slides forward and locks creating space for a small chair allowing one to sit comfortably to write or apply makeup whilst the bottom two drawers create ample, discrete storage for clothing.
Nils Jonsson was a venerated Danish designer who formed part of a movement known as Danish Modern. Best known for his large case pieces and credenzas he was respected for having an exceptional understanding of materials and an eye for the potential of the wood and the quality of the raw materials he used, specifically Burmese teak.

Condition Details: Save for one small veneer repair this exceptional teak vanity, designed by Nils Jonsson, is in original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The mix of solid and veneered teak composition is in very good shape showing only minor signs of vintage wear such as the above mentioned veneer repair (shown in the photos provided) as well as other minor nicks and light surface scratches. With that said there are no gouges, stains or other signs of damage whatsoever and the old-growth woodgrains are absolutely stunning in natural light.
All three drawers slide open and close with ease and the top, which can function as a desk top/writing surface, opens outward with ease exposing a large mirror (31.5" x 11.75") perfect for makeup application. The mirror shows only light surface scratches but no cracks, deep scratches or chips whatsoever. Inside the top drawer are several storage compartments and a smaller sliding drawer all made of solid teak. The top drawer also slides out to an extended depth of 23" allowing a chair to sit comfortably underneath (the desk top sits at 29" in height with a knee clearance of 23.5").
