About the Item
The drinks cabinet created by the award winning designer, Gustavo Martini, was conceived with a reference to "Portuguese stones", as are named in Brazil the Portuguese origin basalt little stones used on sidewalks. A significant legacy inherited by the Portugal in Brazil made eternal in Rio de Janeiro's famous and iconic waterfront sidewalks of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Martini's home place. Martini was awarded twice designer of the year by Wallpaper Magazine, and this cabinet was launched at the Milan Design Week in 2017.
An impeccable and sophisticate furniture, it is full of hand made details together with the utmost technology to reach the level of detail and quality required for this design.
The outside is mande of MDF and metal, both hand lacquered, while the internal space is covered with an unique Brazilian wood veneer applied by skillful artisans, and features glass shelves and a wooden drawer. All wooden surfaces are treated and protected regarding liquids.
The piece still features a LED lighting system, totally hidden and functional.
Each detail is designed and studied for the highest quality, sophistication and functionality. All functional components are of high quality from Italy.
