About the Item

The whiskey cabinet made from caviúna wood is a mid-century modern piece, closer to the 1960s, and with an authorship still unknown. It is a complete bar, especially made for storing and displaying bottles and serving drinks. One of the many exciting attributes of this piece is its drum door, which consists of a series of vertical slats or strips of material (in this case, the caviúna wood) that are hinged together. These slats slide into a track that wraps around the inside of the bar, allowing the door to open or close smoothly. This bar feature is particularly useful for saving space, as it does not require extra space to open like traditional hinged doors. The elegant interior of the furniture consists of an original opaque glass covering and a mirror in the center, with beautiful, delicated finishings made of glass and wood. The versatility of the technology used in the design can be seen in its retractable counter, which can be transformed into a table for serving drinks and at the same time, supports the drinks cabinet when it’s not suspended.
