18th Century English Walnut Cottage Secretary

About

This is a spectacular early 18th century English walnut secretary or bureau cottage bookcase. The top section has a shaped cornice over two mirrored doors opening to reveal interior shelving. The bottom section has a drop slant top when opened offers a writing surface with a series of small drawers, document compartments and pigeon holes. Below are two short and three long graduated drawers raised on bracket feet, early 18th century.
