Antique Fine Quality Inlaid Burr Walnut Bonheur De Jour Desk Writing Table

About the Item

Antique fine quality inlaid burr walnut Bonheur de Jour bureau desk writing table 19th Century. Veneer on mahogany construction, very heavy and strong. Drop well bureau compartment with patinated tooled leather writing surface. The mirrored glass is in good order with only light oxidation. Attractive marquetry inlays and ormolu brass mount decoration. No loose joints and no woodworm. Full of character and charm. A rare and attractive quality find. The drawers slide freely. Would look great in the right location! We have keys to the glass compartments and fall front. Overall maximum dimensions: 89cmW x 54cmD x 141cmH (71 - 75cmH knee hole). In very good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs, wear and imperfections. Age an patina to the veneers with some minor losses and repairs, which add to the authenticity and charm. Stock No. 8107.
