Early 19th Century Round Marble Top Italian Pedestal. Top sits over three ebonized column supports with carved gilt wood accents at top and bottom. The ebonized columns are a key feature of the pedestal and was popular during the Empire period. They contrast beautifully with the off-white marble top. Center round open stretcher shelf serves as support, as well a shelf that can be used for displaying items. The splayed base rests on three carved gilt wood ball feet.
The pedestal's height and structure make it ideal for as a decorative accent and for showcasing important pieces such as statues, sculptures, or urns.
