Large retro vintage desk plus shelving unit by Nisse Strinning for String, 1960s the string wall system was designed in 1949 and over the years has evolved from being innovative to one of the staples of Scandinavian design. Each component of the system is well thought through and there is an almost infinite variety of combinations that can be made as each unit and shelf can be fitted wherever required.
