About the Item
Donald Judd/Spumoni unit calls to mind the clarity of form and material with Judd as well as the carefully placed color field/flashes of Blinky Palermo.
Top is reversible and doors colored on both sides so color scheme is variable including all neutral option. Leg angles are adjustable for leveling extremely solid structure.
Severen's father was an abstract painter and Severen, himself, attended art school where he studied architecture. He collaborated with Rem Koolhaas who entrusted to him the furnishings for such iconic sites as the Seattle public library, 2000; the Villa dall'Ava in 1990; and the house in Floirac near Bordeaux in 1996. Severen oversaw the bulk of interiors at the Van Abbemuseeum in the Netherlands. The list of his achievements would be much longer were he not diagnosed with cancer at an early age.
