About the Item

Unusual pair of étagères, made circa 1845-1850 in England in a round form are masculine and formal but not fussy or over decorated. The Mahogany color is warm and light not a deep red as is so often found. The finish is original and mellow but with a nice rich polish. Four levels for display make them useful and as they are tall make them almost column-like creating visual impact. The wood selection is clean and linear in grain and the turnings are refined and uniform creating an undulating erect movement.
