About the Item
Dutch Mid-Century Pilastro enameled metal wall unit with a desk, a cabinet, and 4 shelves. The desk, cabinet and 2 shelves are enameled in a a khaki color with white and ochre as accent colors. The desk has two drawers with brown fenameled fronts. The cabinet has an ochre and a white sliding door with cut-out pull handles. In the 1950s and 1960s, Amsterdam-based Pilastro employed many famous designers such as Coen de Vries, Friso Kramer, Dirk van Sliedregt, and Tjerk Reijenga, known for their attractively minimalist yet functional designs. This unit has age-appropriate wear including enamel loss, and scratching. The risers may differ from the ones pictured, but all are in similar worn condition. Shown with a Prouve inspired school chair (sold).
