About the Item
This 2-door sideboard is a handmade and modernized interpretation of the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century. This period is remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines often also diamonds and /or grooves.
The dimensions and design of the furniture have been adapted to our current interiors.
The 2 doors open and close with 2 keys in brass and have a lock.
Inside, 2 compartments are separated by a vertical wooden panel.
The 2 shelves are height- adjustable on wooden racks.
All 3 drawers have dovetails mounted fronts for more strength and better durability.
The finish on the picture is our "D" stain for the wooden parts and a white-cream lacquer and a touch of basalte-grey for the diamond and grooves inserts.

The manufacture of each furniture is made accordingly to traditional French techniques of woodworking by small craft workshops in the western countryside of France (Loire Valley and Bretagne).
Solid wood comes from sustainably managed French forests.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS
MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
