Paul Evans Patchwork Copper Sideboard/Console Cabinet for Directional, C1970

About the Item

Stunning and rare copper clad wall mounted floating console/sideboard cabinet by Paul Evans for Directional, produced circa 1970. This incredible piece of design history is fabricated from patinized pieces of copper, brass, and pewter which have been welded and nailed in a patchwork style pattern. The top has been fitted with an inset slate stone and two bi-fold doors that open to reveal a painted interior. Interior storage includes adjustable shelving on the right side with a drawer and open storage on the left side of the cabinet. The two doors have locks but the key is missing. Dimensions 60 inches wide by 30 inches high and 20 inches deep.
