Collector's Mahogany Brass Bound Display Cabinet-England

About the Item

This unusual compact display or collector's cabinet is quite unusual. There is the main display area on the top which can be accessed from the back. The front brass bound glass door opens from the front. There are three glass shelves plus the bottom shelf. On the backside there are seven drawers with brass pull style handles. This can be used to hold small pieces of silver, a watch collection, jewelry or whatever one collects. Purchased in England in the early 1980s. It took me three years to convince the antique dealer to sell it to me. Polished by hand in our workshop. (We go through the laborious task of hand polishing because it does not remove all the patina that machine polishing will remove.)
