Haentges Freres Signed, Louis XVI Style, Marquetry Inlay, Bronze, Vitrine Cabinets, Paris, 19th C. A remarkable pair of labeled and stamped Haentges Frères vitrine cabinets, which can also function as bookcases or bar cabinets. Each piece features elegant drop-down fronts with exquisite marquetry inlays and intricate floral designs, surrounding a central cameo depicting Italian ruins within a garden setting. The doors open to a fitted interior, ideal for storing glasses, with a spacious lower area designed to accommodate wine bottles or similar items. The central display is flanked by beveled glass doors and sides, enhancing its functionality as a lighted vitrine, perfect for showcasing fine liquors or brandy. The cabinets are adorned with exceptional bronze mounts, including full shoe feet with flowing flame trim, all culminating in finely crafted bronze shell accents. The tops are finished with a greenish marble set in bronze. Both cabinets are signed on the reverse and bear the Haentges Frères stamp, Paris." Can purchase one or the pair as are needed.
