About the Item

A true collector's piece: this rare highborn is an original 1930s design by Mücke-Melder, one of the leading names in Czech Functionalism. Crafted in small series, it pairs beautifully warm wood surfaces with elegant chrome - plated tubular steel - an outstanding example of modernist form and function. Carefully restored, the wooden elements have been refinished in their original color, while the vintage glass doors remain untouched. Originally part of a matching ensemble with a desk, both pieces are now available individually-yet together they embody a rare stylistic harmony.
