About the Item
Built from heavier stock than most, and with a beautiful color and lots of character, this sturdy little two door armoire is unusual and interesting. The crown is plain, like those on Irish dressers. The frieze beneath is adorned with three hardwood medallions, placed to line up with the acorn corbels which cap the convex molding mounted on the front sides of the piece. Each door has two panels. One long and rounded at the bottom, the top making a double arch with a split teardrop finial. The lower panel is round. The scalloped bottom rail blends into the nicely curved bracket feet. The inside is empty save for a retrofitted hat shelf and hanging pole.
