About the Item
This antique Indian cart has been vividly painted with shades of cerulean blue, forest green, canary yellow, black and vermilion. The cart rolls on hand-carved wooden wheels. Hand-carved wooden bells painted in a rainbow of colors hang from both the undercarriage and top rail. The front of the piece features alternating carved squares with quilted star burst motifs. The top row of carved squares feature delightfully carved birds. The four centre squares open up to reveal the storage cavity and reveal iron hardware. The top centre two squares open upwards exposes yet a smaller compartment. It would make a wonderful addition to any modern home as a unique and intricate side board, buffet or conversation piece.
