A stunning embodiment of Italian Space Age design, this rare bar cart by Claudio Salocchi for Luigi Sormani dates to the 1970s and showcases the designer’s visionary blend of sculptural form and modern materials. Featuring a dynamic cylindrical base in brushed stainless steel, the cart supports an elliptical smoked glass top with integrated chrome handle, creating a floating effect that is both functional and futuristic. Excellent vintage condition with normal light wear signs of use considering its age and normal use. Claudio Salocchi
Born in Milan 1934, graduated in Architecture at the Milan Politecnico University. He has been Vice-President of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale), and has taught at the State Professional Institute of Furniture and Furnishings in Lissone and the School of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic. On an international level, Salocchi’s work covers the fields of architecture, interior and industrial design. A great deal of his works and projects were chosen and exhibited through selections or invitations at the most important exhibitions, events or museums, worldwide.
