About the Item
Spectacular hand-carved and parcel gilt polychrome centre table, or potential games table, with four ceremonially dressed elephants. Round gilt top carved with an art deco filigree border and a stylized quatrefoil centre. Polychrome and parcel gilt four part base with centre dome surmounting two part plinth. Most likely from Chicago's historically significant Oriental Theatre, built in 1926.
