18th Century Swiss Polychrome Decorated Blanket Chest Trunk

About the Item

Colorful 18th century Swiss blanket chest or trunk featuring a polychrome decorated finish. Beautifully decorated with blue painted iron strapping and a floral motif on top. Dated 1778 on the front in yellow. Large iron handles on each end and the chest is supported by bun feet. Would also make a great coffee table. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
