19th C. Italian Giltwood Tripod Table w/ Glass Top
About the Item
This is a unique coffee table featuring a round glass top and an intricately carved gilt wood base. The base is made of ornate carved wood featuring stylized dolphins, with scaly bodies and curled tails. These aquatic figures support the glass top, giving the table an antique, maritime feel. The wood base has a distressed gilt and painted finish. The glass top has a 1.5" bevel and provides a modern contrast to the traditional and elaborate base, making it an interesting fusion of style.
