About the Item

This is an elegant vintage brass and leather military drum converted into a side table, dating from the early 20th Century. It bears superb hand painted decoration of the Royal Engineers logo and colours, with the inscription HONI SOINT QUI MAL Y PENSE (shamed be who thinks evil of it). It has been fitted with an added glass top and leg so that it can be used as a coffee or occasional table. The unique quality and elaborate design of this drum are certain to make it a talking point in your military collection. Condition: In excellent condition. As antique items, the pieces show signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, it displays beautifully.
