About the Item
A Hollywood Regency Era low Cocktail Table with gilt edged Ming Dynasty form. The table top has a central gilt panel surrounded by a wide Chestnut tone wood band inlaid with exquisitely cut and incised bone elements depicting botanical elements including flowers of all sizes, foliage and vines. The top also has an inset glass top.
Dimensions: 53.75” wide by 25.5” deep by 14.5” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. There is wear and finish losses to the frame, a time softened chip to one of the legs, a pronounced scratch to the gilt center element, some age discoloration to the bone inlay, frame chips and sporadic nicks and lighter scratches to the glass top. Despite the wear and losses, the Table presents in an exceptional and refined manner.

A very fine and complex well-crafted drop leaf table with rectangular top inlaid overall in fine scrolled marquetry details. The top panel with scrolling vines emanating from two vessels, framed by a scrolling vine wide band. Each rounded leaf with coordinating center panels and bands. The two frieze drawers with foliate scrolls framing the brass key holes (one lock is missing).
