This antique floor writing desk was crafted in the Taisho Era (1912-1926). Made of keyaki (Japanese zelkova), it features stunning wood grain and a beautifully aged surface. Unlike Western-style desks, this piece was designed for traditional Japanese floor-seated use and has a lower height than standard desks. It is sturdy and practical, with a simple yet functional design. The decorative panel at the back adds a unique touch, while the multiple drawers provide convenient storage for organizing small items. With its compact size and traditional aesthetics, this low desk blends seamlessly into modern interiors and can also be used as a display or storage stand. As a antique piece, minor scratches and marks may be present, each adding to its unique charm and the story it tells over time. Cleaned and disinfected with non-toxic solution.
