About the Item

This table is crafted from reclaimed Japanese wood. The tabletop is a very strong, heavy board that was used as a workbench for many years. Its thickness is marked by striking cracks and warping. Furthermore, traces of a gourd-like pattern carved into the top remain, creating a harmonious pattern. The exact species of wood used for the tabletop is unknown, but it is thought to be a type of hardwood, possibly chestnut. It has aged to a deep brown over time, giving it a primitive appearance that expresses the beauty of natural change. The legs are made from hardwood that was used for farming tools in ancient Japan. They bear traces of hand-carving and have turned black from soot. The tabletop can also be used as a sofa table or display stand. By combining it with a simple, modern space, it will add a primitive beauty and enhance the beauty of aging. Weight: 19.1 kg
