A rare and exceptional Maison Jansen coffee table, expertly made in France circa the 1960s. This luxurious coffee table draws inspiration from the Louis XVI Neoclassical style, the refined form of a Surtout de Table (mirrored plateau). The combination of black lacquer, gilded bronze, and a distressed mirrored top (please note the glass top is removable for shipping) highlights Maison Jansen, the legendary Paris-based design firm renowned for blending classical style with modern sensibility.
The oval silhouette features an internally darkened, distressed mirrored top, adding vintage character and visual depth. A striking pierced bronze frieze wraps around the 2-inch-high gallery edge, offering intricate detailing and a luxurious contrast to the sleek black lacquered frame. The gilt bronze accents shimmer against the rich lacquer.
This Maison Jansen coffee table measures 66 inches wide by 26 inches deep, with an overall height of 17.5 inches (17 inches to the tabletop).
