Midcentury, 1970 Organically Stylish Burl Walnut Wooden Tree Trunk Coffee Table

Rustic and natural materials only, wow-factor table, signed/marked under table top.
Whether you are decorating a midcentury home, a mountain cabin or a more contemporary interior, this superb wooden table with its unique table top and base will never fail to impress. This organically stunning and all-natural material coffee table dates from circa 1960-1970. What makes this table extraordinary are ofcourse the thickness, the ideal size and the amazing burl patterns in the thick burl slab that makes the striking table top. Besides the burl patterns in the cross section, you can also see them on the outside of the table. There is something so clean and appealing to these natural materials that you will rarely find a person who does not enjoy looking at them. Thanks to its practical size this beautiful eyecatcher is highly practical at the same time. Both in diameter and in height this could be thé perfect coffee table in front of or next to your couch. And if you like to squat on the floor and enjoy a board game together, then this build-to-last-table will be ideal too. Because of the neutrality of the color of the hand sawn nutwood base and tabletop this table can be placed in all kinds of interiors and onto all sorts of floors. This rustic and heavy duty table will also look wonderful in the middle of a high pile carpet. This signed table (see image 8) also has the most beautiful patina, one that only Mother Nature can create and when you 'see' and 'understand' its beauty you will enjoy this table even more. Unfortunately we cannot read the signature, but we can understand why the maker left it there, because you will hardly ever find a better or more beautiful one.
