The ash wood undergoes a unique treatment process, employing the traditional Shou Sugi Ban technique. Originating in 18th-century Japan, Shou Sugi Ban is a method used to preserve wood by charring it with fire, typically done with Japanese cedar to enhance its weather resistance. Our tables are torched to achieve this distinct finish, then wire brushed by hand and hand rubbed with oil to enhance the wood's natural resilience and beauty. The smaller tables, durable and versatile, can be used as drink tables or sturdy stools, adding a layer of functionality to their striking design. 1 floor model in stock as is, additional stock or custom options available in 11-12 weeks.
