Pair of pine coffee tables from the furniture of the Foncillon swimming pool, Royan, France, 1950.
Legs in crossed arches surmounted by two crosspieces, blockboard.
Royan, a seaside town in the southwest of France, suffered massive bombardments during the war of 1939-1945. Its very Avant Garde reconstruction makes it today a benchmark for architecture of the 1950s.
