Rustic Mid-Century Solid Weathered Oak Coffee Table with Two Drawers

About the Item

This rustic table was made in The Netherlands in the mid-20th century. It is completely made from old solid oak beams. The wood was reclaimed from centuries-old half-timbered houses in Germany. The wood was aged beautifully through many years of exposure to the weather. In the early 1900s, my grandfather collected the raw material in Germany and brought them to his workshop in The Netherlands. Carefully selected pieces of wood were composed into beautiful tables. We were able to reacquire this table and it was cleaned from old wax and stain layers. The table now shows its bare natural and weathered oak wood color. The table has four square legs and skirts with a delicate mold at the bottom. It features two drawers with recessed panels and molded edge equipped with wood-turned knobs. The table was cleaned at our atelier and the whole piece is clean, solid, and ready for use.
